Our town recently had its yearly celebration so I decided to set up my camera in a close spot to where they would be exploding.  Had a great view but neglected to figure in the wind thus ending up with ash and some sparks falling on me. It was fun

Maine Woods

Hiked up the hunt trail in Baxter state park Maine.  If anyone is ever in that area you should check out the park.  Dirt roads make some easy access to relatively untouched areas.  Hiking up a mile and back took about 9 hours but well worth the time and pain in the knees.  Here is one shot I took at 530am one morning

Maine woods

Just got back from a few days camping in the Maine woods on the West Penobscot river.  Major black flies and mosquitos kept me doused in bug spray. Heavy rain and thunderstorms kept me ducking back to the tent. Even had my first experience camping during a hail storm - bolted for my truck 'cause I thought my tent was going to be shredded.  Happy with a few shots. Came back tired but a worthwhile adventure.
